Excited to read about this project! We must protect the history to share with many generations to come.
I twice involved all students and staff at my schools to interview and write stories as dictated from our senior citizens. Both books were published. You might want to consider tapping into Cape Hatteras Secondary School to help. It helps them practice interviewing and writing skills. I am not sure who benefitted more, the students or the senior citizens! Each book launch made for a very touching ceremony!
